Cemetery Preservation

We Welcome You To Cemetery Preservation.

More Cemeteries Have Been Forgotten Than Remembered.

This site is dedicated to those who come before us and built our countries to what we see today. We here feel like it's the least we can do for them is take care of their final resting place.
So many of our cemeteries are neglected and are in need of help. Many times the land is sold off and disturbed by urban development. If so many people and organizations are concerned about history why are so many cemeteries in such disrepair?

What You Can Find Here

We are dedicated to the past. There are many thing you can find on our site. You can find pictures of many cemeteries and headstones, dedicate your time to a cemetery in your area and share your information and photos with others who may not be in the area. You can also request a photo of a headstone in someone's area, read articles about the history of cemeteries as well as new findings. You can find links to wonderful sites dedicated to the same purpose. Not to mention you can get wonderful hints on how to start your own preservation project or helpful hints on how to maintain on you have completed.
We strongly recommend that all the information gathered on each cemetery should be made available to the public and not just on paper and reel. It takes travel and a lot of time and for most of us, we just don't have the means to do such things but we dream of what our ancestors were like and where are they buried.

Please enjoy our site and if there are any comments or questions please feel free to enter into our Cemetery Preservation Contacts page for links or just click on the e-mail link below.

TO PREVENT HEALTH PROBLEMS:
See the below page helpful How To page that gives helpful tips associated with preserving cemeteries. Due to heath hazards it is very important that you pay very close attention to what you are doing and how you are doing it. Preserving a cemetery is a time consuming task and should not be taken lightly. Cemeteries are a part of our history and should be care for but caring for them can cause problems. On the page you will find a list of items that will help to keep you safe while you are keeping the cemetery safe.
